Welcome to Weatherford Cutting Horses, owned and managed by Mark and Joanne Smith. The Weatherford Cutting Horses brand is not only a brand of great cutting horses, but also beautiful athletic horses which can excel in any horse sport – including campdrafting, cutting and challenges. Weatherford is the home of DESTINYS MR CHIC, the best performed cutting son of Acres Destiny (IMP) in Australia.

Mark and Joanne Smith have been breeding horses for the last 25 years. Each year an intensive embryo transfer program utilising their high calibre mares provides the basis for achieving their dream of elite genetics in Australia. By utilising imported mares & imported frozen semen they now have an elite genetic pool. Dr Joanne Smith BVSc is the senior equine veterinarian at Weatherford Equine, Talgai, Queensland.  Their commitment to world class bloodlines and pedigrees is reflected in the embryo program that is embarked on every year. Mark’s ambition is to produce quality genetics, and to train, show & offer them for sale. Mark & Jo are dedicated to producing a top quality product for the discerning horseman.
